What a great year it has been already. I Well my great year started right at the end of july and beginning of august. Married my main squeeze and have enjoyed being married.
I started my new job at Vanderbilt NICU. It has been quite the journey. I have already had so many great learning experiences. I have seen more things than I ever thought possible as a nurse. On another note, i am now terrified to have children. Ha. Seeing all of the things that could possibly go wrong in a pregnancy is not good for a woman of child bearing age to be around constantly!! Its scary!!! Altogether, I love being able to be a part of a family's lives during difficult times. It is very rewarding to be able to guide parents through these times. I have already seen myself grow as a nurse and as a person which is what I wanted in a career.
Onto the fun stuff.. married life... Graham and I are enjoying our time together. Bless his heart, because this sleep deprived nurse can be crabby sometimes. But at the end of the day he still loves me. Imagine that!! And.... after already seven months of marriage, we are still going strong and like being around each other. Well... i speak for us both. I hope he still wants to be around me!!! We are enjoying having our sweet little dog. That dog is more spoiled than any dog I know. she gets yummy homemade treats from her grandparents, and a new bone every time she chews another one up!! I'd say she is living the life!!! Loving life!!! She loves the random days when she can go to the grandparents house and have a little vacation from home. She is so ready to run out that door, she kind of hurts her momma's feelings. She has no separation anxiety whatsoever.
Now, to the house. We have made great progress. Our room is done. The living room is done. We painted the walls a nice gray color and the ceiling a bluish greenish color. It is beautiful and already looks so much better without the little lights around the ceiling!!! We just need a new living room suite now. (that is when we get the money!) Our old couch and chairs from granny's house will have to do for now. Our front bedroom is also done. We painted it the color of the ceiling in the living room. It turned out so nice. We actually had to drywall the ceiling in there because it was the board that was all over the walls in our bedroom. instead of sanding the ceiling and painting it, we decided on just putting up dry wall to give it a clean look. With the furniture in there that i got at the auction. It has turned out really cute also. We just need to get some pictures on the wall and some decor and we'll be set.
